Quintonic does not have a native app on the Android or Apple stores. On tablets, access to the account is exclusively through the web browser, which alters the procedure compared to a desktop computer and introduces specific constraints related to the virtual keyboard, cookie management, and the responsive behavior of the site.
Browser on tablet: technical setup before connecting to Quintonic
The choice of browser determines the fluidity of the experience. Chrome (pre-installed on Android) and Safari (pre-installed on iPad) handle the responsive display of Quintonic correctly. We recommend checking that the browser is up to date before any connection attempt: an outdated browser can cause display shifts on the login forms.
On Android, access the browser settings, then go to the “Update” section. On iPad, Safari updates are found in the system settings, under “Software Update”.
A technical point often overlooked: cookies must be enabled in the browser for the Quintonic session to remain open. Without cookies, every page change requires a reconnection. In Chrome, the setting is found under Settings > Privacy > Cookies. In Safari, ensure that the “Block all cookies” option is disabled in Settings > Safari.
For those who wish to access my Quintonic account without going through the procedure each time, creating a shortcut on the home screen is a great substitute for an app. In Chrome, open quintonic.fr, tap the three vertical dots, then “Add to Home Screen”. In Safari, tap the share icon (the square with the arrow) then “Add to Home Screen”.
Quintonic login on tablet: virtual keyboard and common input errors
The virtual keyboard is the primary source of login failure on tablets. Auto-correction alters the entered email address or password, leading to a silent rejection of the form. The site simply displays “incorrect credentials” without specifying that auto-correction has replaced a character.
We observe three recurring errors:
- Automatic capitalization at the start of the field changes the first letter of the email address. On the Quintonic login page, the email field is case-sensitive on the browser side, even if the server is not always. Disable auto-capitalization before entering your username.
- Automatic word replacement in the password: if your password contains a common word, the autocorrect may change it. Temporarily disable auto-correction in the keyboard settings (Settings > Language and Input on Android, Settings > General > Keyboard on iPad).
- The invisible space added after a word by predictive typing. This extra space at the end of the field is enough to invalidate the password. Check that no stray space has slipped in after the last character.
If the login fails despite correct credentials, use the “Forgot Password” function on the login page. Quintonic will send a reset link via email. Be sure to check the spam folder if the message does not arrive in the inbox.
Quintonic account security on shared tablet
On a tablet used by multiple people (family tablet, borrowed tablet), never save the password in the browser. Chrome and Safari systematically offer to save credentials after a successful login. Decline this offer if you are not the only user of the device.
To check if any passwords are already saved: in Chrome, go to Settings > Passwords. In Safari, check Settings > Passwords. Delete any entry related to quintonic.fr if the tablet is shared.
Protect access to the tablet itself with a PIN code or fingerprint. Without a screen lock, anyone who turns on the tablet can open the browser and access an open Quintonic session. Manual logout after each use remains the most reliable method: click on your profile in the top right corner of the site, then on “Logout”.
Tablet accessibility: adapting Quintonic display for more comfort
Android tablets and iPads include accessibility features that enhance the readability of Quintonic without altering the site itself. These settings are underutilized by the majority of users.
The system display zoom enlarges the entire interface, including buttons and form fields. On iPad, enable it in Settings > Brightness and Display > Screen Zoom. On Android, the path varies by manufacturer but is usually found in Settings > Display > Display Size.
For text that is too small on certain pages of the site, increasing the system font size works in the browser:
- On iPad: Settings > Accessibility > Text Size, then enable “Larger Text Sizes”
- On Android: Settings > Accessibility > Font Size
- Directly in Chrome: Settings > Accessibility > Text Scaling (slider to adjust)
Enhanced contrast helps distinguish clickable links from regular text. On iPad, enable “Increase Contrast” in Settings > Accessibility > Display and Text Size. On Android, the “High Contrast Text” option is found in Settings > Accessibility.
Screen reading (VoiceOver on iPad, TalkBack on Android) allows navigation on Quintonic without reading the screen. Activation is done in the accessibility settings, but we recommend trying it on a simple page before using it on Quintonic, as touch navigation changes radically with this feature active.
The absence of a dedicated app has a concrete advantage: all these system adaptations apply directly to the site via the browser, without relying on a third-party developer to integrate accessibility standards. The site adapts to the tablet’s settings, not the other way around.
